Up until the #Biden administration actually tried it, nobody really contested that it was legal and #possible. Now the Supreme #Court is set to strike it down potentially today but definitely later this week. Their decision doesn’t come from some sober #analysis of the #law, but instead it’s pure power and #politics. The interests that put the 6-3 #conservative court in place are staunchly opposed to any #policy that might lift the yoke of student loans off #working #people’s backs. They can’t have that. So they’ll use backwards #logic and do everything they can from preventing it from ever happening, definitely never again. The Supreme Court is where rights go to die. And unfortunately that likely includes student loan forgiveness."
