196 countries agree to adopt 4 Goals, 23 Targets for 2030 In Landmark UN Biodiversity Agreement.

A few of the targets to implement by
2030
- Protect 30% of the Earth's lands, oceans, coastal areas, inland waters
- Cut food waste in half
- Reduce to near zero the loss of areas of high biodiversity importance
- Progressively phase out or reform by 2030 subsidies that harm biodiversity by at least $500 billion per year

Media #COP15 focus on #30x30 is understandable, but there should be greater attention on another linchpin of the #post2020 biodiversity framework — the essential need to "mainstream" biodiversity protection, i.e. to put nature at centre of policy and decision-making.
