My favorite scientific skeptic #Potholer54 on a highly deceptive petition by climate deniers. By stringing vague claims together they hope the reader draws conclusions, the deniers can claim they never made when challenged.

Possible side effect is less push back from scientists who will see the petition as a nakedly political document (while the public may be fooled into thinking it is serious).

As a scientist it is always nice to see where the bizarre claims of the bloggers come from, which is a field of study in itself completely detached from the scientific literature.

I had expected better from Anthony Watts than to compute that 1988 + 20 = 2018. How do you run a conspiracy business with those math skills?
