So I now have a setup where #ixfrdist sits in front of #powerdns so that secondaries can do IXFRs. But - ixfrdist only supports IP-based ACLs, it can't do TSIG. So maybe I need to use BIND after all 😩

Is ixfrdist from #powerdns production ready? Somehow I didn't become aware of its existence until yesterday!

We're (again) considering replacing our aging #OpenLDAP installation in favour of #FreeIPA

Our distributed OpenLDAP installation is currently used to serve identities in a Unix only environment (Linux, FreeBSD), acts as the backend for our #PowerDNS nameservers and also feeds our distributed ISC DHCPd.

I'd like to hear from others how they are faring with FreeIPA. Looking at the website with countless stale and dead links and old information doesn't really add to my trust in the project ...

PowerDNSで管理されたゾーンに対してTXTレコードを登録する際に、同名のCNAMEレコードが存在してはいけない。
不具合か仕様かわからんけど、とにかく分かった。

Abhängig vom Endpoint prüft die #PowerDNS API, ob die angegebene Methode korrekt ist oder nicht. Wenn der Endpoint nämlich nur GET unterstützt, kann man auch jede beliebige Methode angeben und bekommt dennoch eine Antwort.

ゾーンのシリアルを見て、PowerDNSの利用を始めて既に2年以上経っていたことに気付く。
当時、BINDにはほとほと困ってて。
