Someone (preferably someone versed in more progressive Christian theology) really needs to school the Presbyterian Church.

"In a submission to a review of anti-discrimination laws, the Presbyterian Church of Australia argued for the right to exclude students from leadership positions if they were in a same-sex relationship or having pre-marital sex.

“They would not be able to give appropriate Christian leadership in a Christian school which requires modelling Christian living,” the church said in its submission."

I would really like the author of that submission to point to the bits in the bible where Jesus, the son of God, the one who came and gave everyone a new commandment, specifically condemns queer people, or even people who have sex before marriage.

Jesus talked about not tempting people to sin, and a lot about love and forgiveness. He didn't talk about queer people once, and he certainly didn't talk about "pre-marital" sex.
