Having been playing a policeman game with his best friends, our preschooler is coming up different ways to punish a imaginative bad guy. While some punishments are rather ineffective, some other ones are rather severe and cruel.
"What has the bad guy done? What's the crime?" I couldn't help asking the other day.
Preschooler thought for a moment, "The bad guy stole the wind shield wiper from a police car."

Help! Where are the #ECE and #Preschooler teachers or caregivers on this site? Any #Abolitionist teachers out there? Anyone from #QueeniesCrew ? I’m new here and want to find my people

"Daddy, can you play the counting game with me?" Preschooler asked.
"Sure, I can. Do you remember what you need to do?" I said, trying not to give away my gladness too much.
"I need to be focused and answer questions." He said.
I went and practiced counting and simple addition with him using our fingers.
Sweetheart, you asked so politely and promised to be focused and answer questions. Of course I can play the counting game with you as much as you want.

I did a quick #introduction on 11/6, and feel the need to do a slow one.
My wife and I are raising a 4YO and I toot #parenting, #ParentingJoy, #Preschooler to share with other parents.
I'm a practicing pythonista (#Python) and working my way through #PythonCookbook and #PythonDistilled. I toot #ProgressToday to record my progress. Right, maybe you didn't know - You are my accountability partners. Thanks!
I enjoy good humor. Sometimes my reply doesn't make sense, hopefully it makes you smile.

"Daddy, I'll tell you something, but please don't laugh." Preschooler seems a bit sensitive recently.
"Sure, I'll not laugh." I reply and straighten my face.
Next, he'll tell me a story, a childish mixture of some life experience from day trips, some knowledge, and some wild wishes and imaginations.
I'm amazed because they're so unconstrained. I'd say his stories are my favorite "mixed reality". As he grows up, I hope he'll get to keep his imagination.
