Posthumous promotion is #Congressional silliness, of course (#POTUS > general). But anyone who has not seen the #USGrant #PresidentialLibrary at its unlikely home on the #MSState campus in #Starkville (#StarkVegas) #Mississippi has missed a thing very much worth seeing.

I confess, the #PresidentialLibrary system is strange. I can understand why retired Presidents want to build museums to themselves (and I suppose receiving donations for a library is no more corrupting than regular political fundraising), but why should such places receive papers that ought to be in the federal archives?
