The biggest #challenge, it seems to me, for those of us in the #beautiful #space that is the #fediverse is to break the shackles of centuries of #Sensual #privelege. I can toot a mediocre #photograph and get reboosted (I always use #alttext obviously). #Sight is the western world’s premier #sense. But how do we #boost #sound? Not all of you will share my #musical #taste, of course. But I #love my #eyes, #ears, #fingers, #tongue, and #nose (as well as the #OxfordComma) equally.

Can I just say FUCK #iep meetings and #sped departments! Seriously the amount of shit you have to fucking wade through to get your #disabled child basic supports is BS! I have a HUGE amount of #Privelege as a white, cis, able bodied appearing queer womxn in a heteronormative relationship. I can only imagine how horrible Black and Brown folx with disabilities are treated in these institutionalized meetings. I was literally having a #panicattack due to the stress. Just provide the DAMN services!

I was brought up by racists and although I'm morally opposed to racism, it is naturally interlocked with #privelege #WhitePrivelege, and to really really face ones [unintentional] racist behaviour down, one needs to unpack that precious little box of privilege that nobody can take away until black lives really matter.
