I've set up a meeting with some of my virtual squad (who will become part of my actual squad in a few weeks) so that I can review the ticket I created earlier this week so that work can start, well, now. I'm also making more preparations for the start of the squad's work.

I've also got one eye on the weekly release management meeting tomorrow. I have a couple of releases ready to deploy, but no firm deployment dates yet.

Speaking of backlogs, mine need attention. I don't have a dedicated squad right now, but will at the end of this month. A good proportion of what the squad will do in the following three months needs to be on there, so I may have some more tickets to create to fill any gaps. I met with my Product Manager just before Christmas to discuss the 12 months ahead, with a focus on the next 3, so I'm clear on what work needs focus.

So the tickets I created yesterday are now sat on one of my backlogs, but they're going to end up being picked up pretty soon. Today I'll see if I can get an extra pair of eyes on them, and refine them where needed.

Seeing as I'm now homed on an instance focused around software, I thought it may be appropriate to post a little about my role and what I get up to. They'll all have the above CW and #ProductOwner tag if you'd prefer to mute them.

Today I've some tickets to create in Jira for one of the middleware components that I own. My weekly meeting with internal stakeholders is this afternoon, so I'll be doing some prep for that. I also have my three kids at home with me today!

First day back at work after the Christmas and New Year break. As something of an #introduction, I am a #ProductOwner at a software development company that has several hundred clients spread all across the world.

Judging by the volume and content of the spam I receive in my work email inbox, it seems people who, I assume, are unfamiliar with Agile think Product Owners practically run the company. The truth, of course, is quite different.

Was ich an #scrum so mag, ist dass ich es bei der Einführung an das Transformationstempo des Teams anpassen kann: ich muss nicht alles einführen, ich kann mit #retro beginnen, eine taktung in #sprint einführen oder einen offiziellen #ProductOwner benennen: was immer das Team braucht.
