We have particularly enjoyed performing Sir #HarrisonBirtwistle's 'Grimethorpe Aria' today.

Premiered at the 1973 #Proms, this epic piece is seldom played due to its dark mood and fearsome difficulty. The RNCM Festival of Brass was the perfect platform for us to commemorate Birtwistle's legacy.

It was a rare treat for us to perform this significant part of our band's history once more.
