I've just finished this #painting "#Starling Skyfall"- that moment when they tumble from the sky into their roost.
It's a great big eyeful of biff-bang-pow colour & you can thank Ukrainian folk artist Maria #Prymachenko for that! I hope that someone out there will appreciate the wild zingy colours at the greyest time of year.

Another #starling #painting is on the way, with a nod to #Ukrainian artist #Prymachenko.
Last night's #murmuration in #Eynsham #Oxfordshire was one of the best we'd seen (& we've been out every night for wks). 23,000 to 30,000 #birds. They were freaked by a sparrowhawk & shapeshifted for 20+ mins!
Last night we were joined by an ITV News Meridian film crew for which I did a vox pop (I may not make the edit), to be broadcast Thurs or Frid this wk at 6pm (Thames Valley region).

Yesterday I finished this #painting entitled “We see what we are defending” in the style of Ukrainian folk artist Maria #Prymachenko. It allowed me to experiment with #gouache, the medium that Prymachenko used.
The title is from a quote made by President #Zelenskyy.
