Apparently, attacks on substations might be a nation-wide phenomena as part of some "violent anti-government criminal activity"; I'm guessing that's fed speak for the far-right. A substation in Clackamas County, Oregon, was apparently attacked in late November and the FBI is investigating.

So how long until we see a copycat power substation attack like the one in North Carolina? Moore County is still largely without power, meaning the attack was very successful in the attacker's eyes. This will likely incentivize copycats to try repeating it.
