Yesterday, I oven-roasted three small pumpkins.
I made soup with these, and pie*.
(Another pie is firming up in the fridge, and I oven-roasted carrots and parboiled sprouts and the latter two are now freezing up individually on big oven trays. It is nice to have big freezers...)

*With pumpkin (d'oh) and spring onions, mushrooms, peas, musterd and cheese (all of that stirred through a roux-type sauce with extra egg yolks.)

I love pumpkin season (and the fact that they keep so long!)
I had three small ones and one huge one left. I oven-roasted the three small ones.
200°C/428°F, for a bit more than half an hour. Just some salt & spices & olive oil rubbed in.

I will make a soup with half of them, in a moment; I will also make some pastry dough and tomorrow the rest of the pumpkin will disappear into a savoury pie.
