No progress on power this morning, and still no ETA from Hydro. Looking at the map there are cells around us with more people affected than us, so I'm imagining we're still in for a wait as they prioritise the more impactful outages. Thankfully we have large windows facing the sun so we're able to warm up the apartment for now. Also we have some camping gear so we can cook again. It's not all bad! #QCStorm #IceStorm #Montreal

This is so eerie. Our apartment is lit only by candlelight, outside there's no light at all save from passing cars. And periodically there's an epic flash in the sky, like lightning only greenish and not followed by a clap of thunder. Presumably those are transformers blowing across the city. #QCStorm #Montreal
