C: An interesting question; where do we get our inspiration from?

It depends on whether it's a short/poem or longform work. Our longform works are usually derived from dreams and one or two of our favorite series in the corresponding genre.

Our short works are all (allegedly) overcomplicated metaphors conveying frustrations or feelings we have that we could not find a way to convey through literal phrasing. Usually, its some kind of anxiety or indescribable dread / fears.

#QWriters Question of the Day: Do you have any good luck charms for writing, or a writing ritual you must do before writing?

It depends on the story I'm writing, and on which part of the story I'm working on. I tend to listen to music when I'm editing, but if I'm writing a more intense scene, I need silence.

I also have a small sculpture of an owl. My mother bought it for me, and owls are said to inspire creativity, so I keep her close to my laptop!
