With apologies to my #QuantumInternet peeps, I won't make it to New York at all. I will fly back to WV and give my talk remotely (I hope -- logistics are still being worked out).
Apparently, my #QuantumInternet book has been translated into Korean.

AQUA (my #quantumComputing and #quantumInternet research group) goes two for three on paper acceptances at this year's IEEE Quantum Week!
Accepted:

and a second paper that isn't on the arXiv yet.

Put this on the list of things I don't understand well on a first reading, but might influence both classical #Internet and #QuantumInternet design sometime down the road.
Another paper submitted! This time, to a refereed workshop.
#QuantumInternet on the prowl.
Not just one, but TWO, count 'em, TWO papers appearing on the arXiv today! One on compiling programs for fault-tolerant #QuantumComputer systems, and one on all-photonic #QuantumRepeater design for the #QuantumInternet.

Good progress today on the quantum optical hardware for our #QuantumCommunications #QuantumInternet testbed.

Apparently we're already preparing for the #QuantumInternet in #Denmark...

Besides all the hype about #quantumcomputing and #quantumcommunication we shouldn't forget that in 2008 a prototype of a #quantuminternet was set up. The network consisted of 4 nodes in Vienna and were connected to a St. Pölten via a 85km long fiber. And all this in 2008! 👏

I gotta say, we are having the most fun I have had in years at work, with the #QuantumInternet testbed starting to take shape. The ideas are clear, now comes the hard engineering work in architecture, protocols, hardware and software!
Updated with 73 entrees and, thanks to a suggestion from Jack Krupansky, a wine list with 18 algorithms. More is forthcoming.

All right, that's a wrap!!!
Just finished shooting the raw video (with greenscreen) for out #QuantumInternet module. Now they go to the editors, and then up on the internal LMS *AND* on YouTube around April 1. Stay tuned for about...9 hours of videos in English, or 11.5 in Japanese. Michal recorded the E and I recorded the J, and apparently I like to talk about this topic :-).
A short interview on the Quantum Internet (in Italian 🇮🇹), on StartupItalia:
