@malcolm Everything you can do in any #Linux #OS you can do in a #Qube on #QubesOS, unless it needs direct GPU support (ie. #Gaming)
It's not a #VM, it's an actual fully functioning #Linux distro running on a #Hypervisor which utilizes hardware better.

@netrom #Whonix is one of the available default templates in #QubesOS.
I no longer need to run that on #Linux given this but have in the past as well.
I don't use non #FOSS / #OpenSource #OS's so i'm not someone able to speak on #Windows or #MacOS or anything else as a #Qube.
Given my focus is #Qubes as a passion vs actual need (Not a nation state target, am not a #journalist) i mostly stick to the #Debian, #Fedora and Whonix templates myself.

@netrom Correct, use case and how many #Qubes the user utilizes at once is going to be the first part of RAM consideration.
The second thing to consider is, what actual #OS will the Qubes user be running in a #template.
Will it be a light or heavier #linux distro? Will it be #Windows? Will it be #MacOS as a #hackintosh in a #Qube? Will it be something entirely different?

@DorpMarfin12 I use #QubesOS. #Arch #Linux users with their insecure #Monolithic #Kernel bore me with their boasting.
There's nothing wrong with Arch, and i don't have anything against any other linux distro either. It's about what the user needs, wants and what works well on their hardware. Saying one is the best or superior is useless when all linux distros are insecure in some ways is my point.

@jacobwm @northox Though not designed for #server workloads, #QubesOS is spectacular for isolating #workstation workloads - though it is a #mother of an OS to learn.
For example, you can retrieve potentially #malicious documents in a #disposable #Qube, strip it of #malware and then move it to a trusted Qube.
I wish they'd build it on an LTS distro, vice #Fedora - but it is one of the most secure nonimmutable OS platforms.
