#VR is a passion of mine. But so is #privacy which you won't find with standalone headsets like the #Meta #Quest2 or Windows for that matter.

And speaking of Microsoft's malware masquerading as an operating system, another of my passions is Linux and generally not using Windows.

These passions come into conflict often and have always done so. The solution at the time that I acquired it was the Valve Index. A VR headset that could work on Linux and interface with my Steam library.

For 1 year I've been using the #OculusQuest2 wrong 🤦‍♂️

My experience using it was, after about 30 minutes, feeling like someone was stabbing me in the eye.

Turns out none of the predefined IPD positions are good for me, changing it to an intermediate position fixed all the issues! 🤩

(depth perception have some small issues now, but I prefer that than feeling excruciating pain)

Boost for visibility, someone else may need to know this! ♻️

After much frustration and off and on about this for nearly an year - I’ve finally was able to get my avatar to be compatible on the #quest2 #VRChat!! Now I don’t always have to be hooked up to my PC and quest players will be able to see my avatar now!! I’m a happy doggo now :3 *wags tail*

Now, the next thing to figure out is how to clip my right ear so it matches my fursona… (that’s for another day!)
