Wondering what folks are up to for #NewYearsEve .

I don't celebrate this holiday, but I did have a #Soberversary yesterday (21 years!). It's nice to remember that, but do I do anything special? Not really.

Today's WORK: #Quranic recitation lesson, more coursework in #TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language), working on the monthly blog post I do for a Quranic learning platform.

Today's PLAY: checking in with a friend who just lived through a polar vortex in eastern PA, going for a walk along the #RíoGenil, birding, listening to one of my new or borrowed #Audiobooks (either Marylebone by Mick Herron or Silences So Deep by composer John Luther Adams). The latter was recommended recently by #ChrisLaTray , the #IrritableMétis himself, and I'm very psyched to dig in.

And I'll probably buy a #Bandcamp gift card for my son.

Thanks to the rain and to Allah, we now have #Fungus along the Rio Genil. I didn't eat any!
