In December 2020 #RBKC controversially removed the protected cycle lane from Kensington High Street, just seven weeks into a scheduled 18-month trial and before construction on the scheme had been fully completed, after backlash from reportedly 0.2 per cent of the residents.

Earlier this week, active travel campaigners attended the council’s committee meeting [...] claiming that there was “still no progress towards safe cycling on this dangerous road”.
