Swedish state-owned mining company LKAB has discovered Europe's largest deposit of rare earths, estimated at 1 million tonnes. This discovery could help the continent establish independence away from vulnerable supply chains.

Tydligen stor nyhet att LKAB har fyndighet av REE vilket är minst sagt konstigt eftersom att den varit känd i årtionden. Visserligen bättre uppskattad storlek på fyndigheten men nyhet hade det varit om de börjat bryta den. Dessutom har de enklare tillgång till REE i varphögarna.
