#RGT is good, the club has used it from time to time for social rides. I'm retired now so had to cut back on the number of subscriptions I could afford, so I went with Zwift and Rouvy for now

I like that #rouvy gives you the option to share your subscription with other people as well which can cut down on costs. A neat addition that lets you swap friends in and out so they can try it

Welp I guess I’m done with my #Wahoo #RGT trial and back to #Zwift … could not get RGT to connect to my trainer today even though Zwift connected immediately without issue. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Specifically re: the AppleTV #Wahoo #RGT app handles swipes very well for the most part. It’s mind-boggling how hard #Zwift is to control on the AppleTV and how they haven’t fixed it to this day. Zwift was always so damn infuriating to navigate.

All-in-all after my first set of rides, RGT doesn’t seem like a bad alternative. Some positives, some negatives.

One plus Wahoo has going for it is for the same $15 as Zwift I get access to both RGT *and* SYSTM (structured training).

RGT has cornering! It’s hilarious watching your Zwift avatar take a hairpin at full speed without leaning in any direction.

The shadows of the riders jumped out at me, I don’t remember that in Zwift. Maybe there are, but I just don’t remember them.

RGT has no rider collision detection whatsoever. Not to say Zwift’s is good, but it at least tries to move you over slightly when passing. RGT avatars just ride right through you.

Well, #Wahoo #RGT has definitely come a long way since I last tried RGT (pre-acquisition), but it’s still pretty rough around the edges. Some pretty easily identifiable bugs in the UI of the various apps being the most egregious. For example you can go to the second page of routes but the back button just flat out doesn’t work. Had to kill the app to get back to the first page.
There’s more routes now than before but they are all sparsely populated. They look and perform well though. #Zwift

First indoor ride of the season— trying out #Wahoo #RGT today instead of my usual #Zwift …

Has anyone tried RGT recently, since Wahoo bought it last year? I tried it two winter indoor riding seasons ago and it needed a lot of work. Hoping the Wahoo acquisition has helped it close the feature-gap with Zwift. I don’t know who needs to know this, but there’s a virtual group ride on #RGT #cycling in twenty minutes with 120 participants, which is about 100 times more than the average turnup, and I’m gonna be there to help crash the server. 🤣
