Day 31, favourite RPG of all time
I can't choose, because I've got 2 RPG I love which I always go back to : #DeltaGreen & #VampireTheMasquerade
I love them because of the stories they allow me to tell. The character sheets have a lot of content, but I'm never lost when reading them. I can know quickly the strength, weakness, and narrativly interresting information for each character and I've a lot of inspiration for setting scenario in these games.

Day 30, obscure RPG I played
I remember a friend made us try this game called "Amnesya 2K51", a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk game, where PC are part mutant, part cyber augmented. It's a french game from 2005. I remember it as something dark but really cool, especially the scenario my friend prepared, which was a real psychological thriller we could have seen in a movie.

Day 29, most memorable encounter
Last year I was the GM for few sessions of our #DnD campaign. I negociated with our regular GM to be able to use dragons at some point (it's Dungeons & *Dragons* after all).
Anyway, he agreed so I prepared a whole chapter set in the desert, and the final boss fight was a dragon, controled by evil forces, set in an old temple. This was so cool, especially the music I used as there was a sandstorm outside.

Day 28, scariest game I played
As I'm the GM most of the time, I'm the one in charge to tell scary stuff (and I love that).
I think the game where I love to do that is #DeltaGreen, not especially with body horror or hideous monster, but with ununderstandable situation, when the law of the real world doesn't apply anymore. For that, the King in Yellow Mythos (yes, Impossible Landscapes again) and the Dreamlands are definitly my tools of the trade!

Day 27, Game I'd like a new edition of...
Few years ago I would have say Hunter the Reckoning, but we did had a new edition recently.
So I would say Call of Cthulhu, with something more modern in term of mecanics, and a totally new approach of the sanity system to avoid cliché stuff about mental illness.
A new edition of Shadowrun Anarchy would be nice too, to be a whole full game and not just the base of an alternative system for v5/v6.
#RPGaDay2023
Day 26, favourite character sheet
I really like when the character sheet is in the theme of the game, but it's difficult to do while keeping something readable. I find #DeltaGreen succeed pretty well by having a sheet looking like a classified file about the character with clear sections and important data on the front sheet.

Day 25, Unplayed RPG I own
I really think it's not a shame to have TTRPG book you don't play. Sometimes it's cool just to read to enjoy.
Anyway, here are some of the one I still haven't played (yet) :
- Nobilis
- Dune 2D20
- Brygandine (not sure I'll play one day)
- Hunter the Reckoning (V1 an V5)
- Yellow King RPG
- Sonia & Conan vs The Ninja
- Meanwhile in the subway
- Forbidden Lands (starting a campaign soon)
- Maybe more I don't think about right now
#RPGaDay2023
Day 24, Complex / Simple RPG I play
I don't like complex system, can feel appealing at first sight, so much features, so much possibilities, and then you spent 10min to just know how many dice you roll and 10 more to read the result (yes I'm looking at you Shadowrun, Cyberpunk and The Witcher).
So let's go for the simplest I prefer : Cthulhu Dark!
4 pages, full of possibilities, you only need few D6 and can be explained in 10min: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/341997/Cthulhu-Dark

Day 23, coolest looking RPG book
I could have shown you the multiple editions I have of the King in Yellow, but this isn't technically RPG stuff.
So let me show you the beatiful collector edition we had in France for 20th Anniversary edition of both Vampire the Masquerade and Vampire Dark Ages

Day 22, best secondhand rpg purchase
If you have read my previous post abour #RPGaDay, you may know I've got a thing with the King in Yellow. For a time a looked for old French edition of Call of Cthulhu scenarios to gather everything implying the King or the Yellow Sign. These books are almost artefact for me

#RPGaDay question today is Favourite licensed RPG?
Easy. None.
If your game is under no open source or creative common kind of licence and you can sue me if I copy any part of it, even if just to show my friends, then fuck you and your moronic game.

Day 20, will still play in 20 years time...
I guess. I mean playing games and telling stories is something I love since forever so... Maybe I will still playing Impossible Landscapes in 20 years, stuck in a loop where the King in Yellow is yet to come, preparing a masquerade for they return
#RPGaDay2023
Day 19, favourite published adventure
Time to talk again about Impossible Landscapes!
I'm a big fan of Delta Green, and I love the original novels of the #KingInYellow. So when Arc Dream Publishing announced a big campaign for #DeltaGreen about my beloved king, I was reaaaally hyped. Since then, the campaign is out, its name is "Impossible Landscapes", the first scenario "Night Floors" is still one of my favorite TTRPG story and a great surrealist investigation.

Day 18, Favourite game system(s)
I really love the "Powered by the Apocalyps" system, especially how it's defined in "Monster of the Week". It really helps the players to engage in the story with narrative mecanics, during character creation but also while playing or gaining new level.
That said, the "move" system can feel limited sometimes. I tends to prefere a bigger skills list like in WoD game, Basic System or Mutant Zero Year.

Day 17, funniest game I've played
Few days ago, I played again the 1st scenario of the One Ring starter set, and seeing players arguying each other about hobbits lineage was fun.
But I think in a general way, Green Dawn Mall by @comemartin was reeaally fun. I think it's because of the randomness and unpredictability of what the players encounter, which leads to surprising situation, as the PC are kids they also react in a fun way when facing surrealism
#RPGaDay2023
Day 16, a game I wish I owned
Well, that's hard since I'm buying too much game and own pretty much everything I'd like to own... 😂
I would say "Quest", as the game seems really cool, but having a printed copy here in France is not that easy, and I would love a full French translation of it too
https://www.adventure.game/
(But the SRD has been translated already here : https://willox.itch.io/quest-licence-et-ressources-creatives)

Day 15, favorite convention one-shot
I never played in convention as a player, but I did organized some event and I prepared a one shot of Monster of the Week, based in a SCP containment complex where the players are hunted by SCP-096 after one of them saw their picture in a confidential file and it was really a fun one to play

15: Favourite con oneshot / module #RPGADay #RPGaDay2023
stretching the definition of a oneshot a bit but for me it is 30 minuuttia avaruusmurmelina AKA Space Groundhog 30 minutes, which I played at #Ropecon 2019
It is a Finnish #scifi timeloop "oneshot" lasting for 30 minutes a session. After which everything is resetted and another group of players can go.
The aim is to stop the timeloop from happening. #ttrpg #ttrpgs

Day 13, Most memorable character demise
In a huge Call of Cthulhu campaign, the character of @marionnatik ask a favor to an avatar of Yog-Sothoth and went back in time in the dreamlands to reincarnate in the man who raise the daughter she had in dreams but never met before the last weeks of her life. It was so epic and touching, we co-wrote this ending together and it was very satisfying

12 - Oldest game I still play
We played Primetime Adventures (2004) 1 or 2 years ago and I'm all the time thinking about playing it again, so it gets my nomination.
Honorable mention to In a Wicked Age (2007)
