A nearby town “Mackay” (pronounced Mackie with a stress on the first syllable) is small but claimed to have “Idaho's wildest rodeo.” We attended the rodeo on a cold and wet day, but it was still fun. The area is stunningly beautiful.

When my husband and I were living full time in an RV, we traveled to Idaho in the summer of 2018. We stayed at a campground on the shore of Mackay Reservoir for two weeks. We were lucky that a waterfront spot was available when we arrived. It was a beautiful place.

Weird car Mastodon doesn’t get much weirder than this. I was just talking to a friend and reminded of my old neighbor, a Finnish carpenter, who built this. He’s a pretty amazing guy and actually rebuilt an old Finnish settlement in Idaho with his skills. This cabin on wheels is a showcase of Finnish log construction and he tours the country and teaches classes. He calls it a Finnebago.

Evening at an #RV Park: a couple with 3 large dogs walks by followed by a big kid pushing a small #kid in a laundry basket on wheels. Then the big kid rides by in the basket followed by the little kid and more dogs. I enjoy this time of day. #sunset

We checked out our #RV in storage since we're going to use it/sell it this spring/summer and found a drip leak from an open vent that luckily only damaged one of the slide's vertical trim pieces. It's MDF and misshapen just a little. I'm sure we can repair/replace it quickly and get rid of that new old smell.

#RV Our oven hasn't worked since about the first week we were on the road. Not a big stress, Amy doesn't cook and I don't often bake. But annoying.

Last week one of the three stovetop burners stopped lighting -- had to use a handheld lighter on it. Not a big stress, etc. But annoying.

Disassembled the stove and oven this morning. Cleaned hard to reach spots, found the bent spot on the sensor stopping the oven from lighting, fixed it with needle nose pliers.

Good start to day.
