Here's the Portuguese premiere of Vaughan Williams's #Symphony No. 9; Pedro de Freitas Branco conducting the National Symphony Orchestra on 20th December 1958, four months after the composer's death. The sound on this video is pretty rough but stick with it because the performance is very good indeed!

Well, most of it anyway: it was preserved only in an off-air recording of the radio broadcast with side-breaks every five minutes.
