@djlena @theneurotrust The Warmth of Other Suns is one of my absolute favorites and inspired my book #RadicalEmpathy - I was excited to see her mention Radical Empathy at the end of her book Caste.

@johnholbein I was thrilled to be the first black woman to get tenure in my department. Within a few months I was promoted to Vice provost. Took me years to recover from the whiplash. #RadicalEmpathy

@upol it also suggests a certain level of arrogance, why do they think they hold the only version of the truth? But I really like the idea of #RadicalKindness and #RadicalEmpathy

I'm starting to see a trend of people using "radical candor" as a disguise for being a "total jerk".

Friendly reminder: radical candor goes hand in hand w/ radical (not ruinous) kindness.

Without the kindness, you've haven't created the space for effective candor.

This is especially important for #academic peer review and #feedback.
