I knew that if I didn't get this quilt finished before I went back to work after Christmas, it would take a while to get done. I finally got it pin basted. I am using this purple backing fabric and know that I am quilting it with gray thread.

But still have no idea how I am going to quilt it...

Here is my 2022 crafting year in review. This doesn't include everything I have made this year, but it feels representative. It is quilting heavy, including a great leap forward on my foundation paper piecing skills (both sewing and pattern creation). It includes one new skill acquired this year (needle felting).

I'm tired and don't feel especially great, but I wanted to get at least a strip or two added to my neglected Bargello quilt #Sewing #Nähen #Quilting #WorkInProgress #Rainbows

Okay, friends, I sewed all these strips together in the right order without even fucking them up once (unless I have completely overlooked an error; please tell me if that is the case).

Next step is cutting them into vertical strips and then sewing them together again. Maybe after that stage, the quilt top will actually fit on the floor in my little sewing spot.
