We should redesign the sidewalks in #Lethbridge, #Alberta. 🚶🏻‍♂️ That is, a much larger area of the sidewalk around our #urbantrees could slope slightly toward their trunks, 🌳 to deliver more #rainwater as surface runoff to the bases of the trees, & their roots. 💧 A lot of our urban landscape was destroyed by pavement that is vacant & unused, & it could be dug up & restored & planted with boulevards of deep-rooted carbon-fixing indigenous prairie grasses. 🌾🦋
