I share to #raiseawareness, so this is diagnosed at birth using the heel prick test every baby is given, it is genetic but it was only discovered from the 30's and only able to diagnosed from birth from 50s so I have no idea if other family members (outside of immediate and grand parents) also have #PKU

(To be entirely fair, this seems to be getting less and less a thing, but on the other hand a certain kind of "Disaster tourism" is now a thing, with people visiting the #arctic to bear witness to the meltdown and "#RaiseAwareness". Not sure it's any better or any more helpful for local communities in the Arctic or anywhere else than genuine engagement on #ClimateAdaptation though)
