You know a remote control is shit when you still have to look at the buttons every single time before pressing one, I am of course referring to the woeful SKY Q remote. In fact since getting SKY Q in i've felt hugely underwhelmed by the equipment and experience. How many times have you loaded BBC iPlayer by mistake, or have typed in 401 (Sky Sports) only to be bounced to Sky Sports ultra-HD so that you can upgrade.... just fuck off!!! 😠

I know I’m not like most people. I use my phone 99% of the time to do anything and everything on the internet. Those chat bots and messages telling me that someone bought something 6 minutes ago or get 10% are so so annoying and block what I want to do and read. I’m more likely to back out than purchase if there are too many.

@BlairWilliams26 I'm not sure if I can agree with you re a). Asking people to pay for private health or pay additional Medicare % if they earn over a set amount. Like the income tax system, you only pay additional for the amount over the set limit.

As the Medicare system is struggling, it needs innovation and money. If wealthier people don't want to pay the additional $, then the cost will increase for all people across the board.

What is fair is hard to define, as a "flat tax rate" is fair but not feasible when the lower class cannot step up to fill any shortfall.

Same goes for Medicare. The load is unequal, but the load must be paid for by the people who can actually afford it. The alternative is unthinkable (in this country).

The whole tax system & distribution is a whole can of worms, suffice to say that the multinationals don't pull their weight.

Why is it that whenever women make the decision to terminate their pregnancy, people will always chime in why they shouldn't?

I just read the most infuriating thread on a group about a young first time mother who became pregnant again shortly after giving birth. Coming to terms with terminating a pregnancy isn't always such an easy decision. Instead of receiving support, many in the comments were asking the woman to continue her pregnancy or consider adoption.

Women are not incubators for children they do not wish to bear, or cannot support. This woman is clearly making an educated decision based on her life and circumstances. However, apparently that's not good enough for people. She's going to be hurting and will need support, but she will be okay.

Her decision is valid.

I do realise it’s only in Commonwealth nations that there’s any differentiation between big raisins, medium sultanas & small currants but Golden North has been producing ice cream in Oz for almost a century to the same original recipe. They should apply the local nomenclature or use big raisins.
