Remembering how much I liked the Two Fifty Squared #coffee shop in #Dublin #Rathmines
Lovely coffee, extra nice food - hope Italian chef is still there.

We are now recruiting for our fabulous choir and are especially looking for Tenors and Basses! We invite you to Open Rehearsals and informal auditions on Tuesday September 5th and September 12th. 7:45 pm Holy Trinity Church #Rathmines #Dublin
Ability to read music or formal musical education are not essential but desirable. Whichever voice part suits you, you'll be among supportive friends.

Fair fucks to the decent #manager of #Omniplex #Rathmines who let two old codgers swap their front-seat tickets for later back-seat ones after one's operated-on eyes wouldn't be able to see the film from the front seat
If you're in the #Rathmines area this Sunday, this is always a nice way to spend the afternoon.

The planning application for the #BusConnects Core Bus Corridor from Rathfarnham to the City Centre, including #Terenure #Rathgar and #Rathmines will be published on Thursday morning at : www.templeoguerathfarnhamscheme.ie

It would also open up an opportunity to create a connection directly from the main street to St Louis' Primary School and extend the green space behind the Leisure Centre.
There's also a big opportunity coming with #BusConnects to redesign the roadway in this area so it feels less like a thoroughfare and more like part of a town centre.
I don't often agree with Mannix Flynn but his absolutely right here - the #Gulistan site was never the right place for a Primary Care Centre in #Rathmines.
The Herman White site in the centre of Rathmines would be a much more appropriate location for a civic building of this scale and importance, and would help to consolidate the area that includes the Town Hall, Library and Leisure Centre as the civic heart of Rathmines.
I have to admit to a certain amount of schadenfreude in my enjoyment of my daily commute.
On a more serious note, the #BusConnects proposal to stop private car traffic through #Rathmines can't happen soon enough.

I saw the aftermath of this incident this morning on my way to work.
It's terrifying to think what the result might have been if it had been an hour or so later when hundreds of primary school children are walking these footpaths.

I'd love to see this happening in #Rathmines. There's a great opportunity with the redevelopment of the Gulistan site to provide an accessible entrance to the Town Hall from the Gulistan side which would open up the building to the entire community.

"The treatment of the interior is in simple classical style of the Doric order...No expense has been spared on the seats, furnishings and other appointments... Noteworthy is the arrangement of opening wall panels concealing windows, operated by automatic gear." Image: Irish Times. #EarlyIrishCinema1923 #Stella #Rathmines #CinemaHistory

Delighted to hear this - I was only thinking about it today as I sat on a bus stuck in traffic heading into town from #Rathmines. I hope it can happen sooner rather than later.
