雖然不過是提案的起步，後續至少還有一整年收集公開意見和交付議會審議的工作，到真正執行還很漫長，但該提案的發表已足見歐盟正在磨刀霍霍向PFAS，對於世界上所有關心PFAS的團體來說，的確是振奮人心的一大步。

一大亮點是，將多達10000種PFAS家族成員都納入限制對象。過去因為PFAS家族太過龐大，且幾乎都具有最麻煩「永生不滅」的體質，所以各團體一直呼籲將「整個PFAS家族」作為立法限制的對象，這次的提案算是回應了這項訴求。
