My solution makes more competitive games, better TV, and higher stakes. There would have to be a huge rev-share agreement throughout the system. (It also totally messes up all traditional rivalries.)

Basketball leagues could be bigger but don’t have to be. If each team had a home-and-home with the 11 teams in their league plus maybe some scheduled inter-league games, it could be similar to current schedules. #realignment #cfb

Nobody asked me, but I would go with a set of nation-wide, 12-team leagues with promotion and relegation. Each team gets each other team in their league once per season. Each school gets to schedule as many games as they want outside their league but those games don’t count for league records.

Do this for CFB, MBB, WBB, and maybe baseball and softball. Non-rev sports are fucked in this model, but they can be more flexible because they’re mostly irrelevant to TV money. #realignment #cfb
