We really enjoyed visiting #Rotterdam towards the end of last year; some fabulous #architecture in that city. As we left in the evening we cruised past a number of apartment buildings along the edge of the Nieuwe Maas. This made for a great glimpse into the lives of #Dutch people. Many gazed out of their #windows at our ship as we glided past and gazed in. Something #Hitchcock #RearWindow about it all.

Grundlage war die Kurzgeschichte "It Had to Be Murder" des Krimiautors Cornell Woolrich. In diesem Thriller verkörpert James Stewart den Fotoreporter L. B. Jefferies, der sich ein Bein gebrochen hat und auf einen Rollstuhl angewiesen ist. „Jeff“ beobachtet aus Langeweile seine Nachbarn auf der anderen Seite des Innenhofes und argwöhnt, dass einer seiner Nachbarn seine Frau ermordet hat.
