Yesterday, the #RebootFood campaign spearheaded by George Monbiot launched its manifesto.

They say we need to phase out animal farming. #goVegan

I think that's good! ✅

But also say we must replace the animal products with 'precision fermentation' as much as possible.

I think that's bad. ❌

There's a real risk we're dealing with a Trojan horse for the #GMO industry here. And apart from that, we should not let ourselves be seduced by another 'technical fix'.

All right, I just attended this #RebootFood event and it rang several big alarm bells 🚨. It has all the marks of a Trojan Horse, and they're not even subtle about it.

What's inside the horse? It's just the fake meat and dairy industry. The group's hammering down on the need for genetic modification for food production is just a bit... creepy?

Participating in a #RePlanet webinar about a potential food system reformation with precision fermentation. Very interesting presentations.

Basically precision fermentation is a type of cellular agriculture that can be used to produce meat and dairy products without farming. As animal farming is one of the most environmentally harmful activities, this kind of systemic changes are necessary.
