I'm really glad I take notes in my phone's address book when I talk to recruiters. I'm clearing my old contact cards, and I found one with the note:

Diabolical use of what people naturally infer. Corporate Propaganda.

Meanwhile, orgs that actually need to hire resources can't represent themselves sufficiently - they're being drowned in a sea a false advertising.

As one of the chronically #underemployed #post-boomers? Ask me, I know.

Worse? The plethora of so-called #Recruiters falsely posting jobs that are just fronts for entities whose only objective is to aggregate personal data.

“SoftHQ” earns a place in my tech recruiter hall of shame
A SoftHQ recruiter called me four times in two days, emailed me twice in two days, all for a job that he should never have been contacting me about. My attempt to complain to SoftHQ failed because the contact email on their web site bounces.

@yannsau exactly, I have no intentions to go through anyone's recruitment process without any salary expectations. I am not a charity. Food, gas and electricity bills don't pay themselves out of thin air.

But even less without the requirements for the job. What serious job doesn't have any? It's just pure and simple data mining. They want YOUR details to fatten their database and say to client A,B and C "we have X hundred candidates ready for you".

The purpose of the "type the #resume into the form" dance, is three fold.

1.
Since most recruiters are young spawnlings with little work experience, it's a test, for you that you can indeed use a computer as you claim. You may have said that you have a Git repo, maintain an open source project and code raspberry PI python for mindfloss, but you might as well speak Sumerian.

2.
You need to populate the database, #recruiters are lazy, rather than read the CVs they want to just do a keyword search.
And the OCR they have are typically very broken/require configuration/maintenance.

3.
They do not want troublemakers.
They want obedient monkeys.
What's this? You do not want to do a mindless, futile task?
You're going to be a "bad fit" for our soul draining shaitejob.

#recruiters Daar heb ik een hekel aan... En het begon meer en meer 7 jaar geleden toen de een na de ander mij lastig viel. De #VDAB heeft mij op PAUZE gezet nu. Ik hoef geen werk meer te zoeken. Krijg mijne pré. En mag gewoon doen zoals ik op #pensioen ben.

Usually cool #developers are happy with their lives and rarely leave companies where everything suits them. But there are exceptions! For example, sometimes large companies close development offices in certain cities. Therefore, #recruiters need to follow corporate news. If you find out that the company has closed one of the development offices, feel free to go to Linkedin and write to the programmers who worked there. Maybe you are lucky and you will be able to "catch a fish". #hr #recruiter
