Is there any replacement on the Fediverse for the r/Open_Science subreddit that feeds the @OpenScienceFeed bot?
There's none on https://sub.rehab/ yet, but I'm not sure how long it will outlast further #RedditAPI enclosure.

With the #RedditBlackout steadily ending, subreddit by subreddit, the real question is how many of those who have shown solidarity over the API changes will leave the platform when those changes inevitably go through at the end of the month? And how many will just quietly download the official #Reddit app and continue on?
Better yet, how many of the content creators and moderators will leave come July 1st? Time will tell.

Trying #lemmy rn. 2 small issues. 1- can't login (i get it, #RedditExodus 2- could use some more thumbs for lazy adhd folks like myself who only read a few words of the title :)
Quite a lot of #Reddit is silent today for a collective protest over their decision to start charging up to $2 a user (based on average calls needed) for third party API access, which will put most mobile Reddit apps out of existence. Already, a #RedditExodus is brewing, and #Lemmy has already entered the discussions.
Been trying out #Squabbles as a #RedditAlternative, and it's got the right feel, but I don't know if it'll hang around long term. It's just a single dev who's trying to keep up with a huge influx, and there's already alt-right folks showing up and setting up communities. Not a good sign. Hopefully the dev can get some help and stay on top of the coming chaos.
