I shared about talking to someone new yesterday and how the didn’t get back to me today so I wished them the best - I shared about it on my Twitter page about #rejectionsensitivity, my #anxiety #bpd #depression (where usually I get lots of support)

Despite telling them I was in a crisis + I get that I’m a problem. They went + called me a psycho + laughed about it.

I had taken for granted, more or less, that rejection sensitivity dysphoria (RSD) is an identifiable thing, usually associated with ADHD

So I was interested to see videos online criticising William Dodson’s one-psychiatrist campaign for its (literal) treatment as a medical condition

Wanting to communicate my needs and wants to a business/service provider is conflicting mightily with my need to not bother anyone, ever, about anything, lest they find me annoying and demanding, and thus refuse to work with me again.

Also conflicting with my need to interact with people via email or phone.

#RejectionSensitivity trick: if possible end your days with the possibility of rejection, especially if you find sleep to be a reset button.

Perceived laziness was mentioned and so much more. And I just feel so bad.

He tried to get to retirement after his severe burnout but was refused, he forced himself back to the working life. Now at the age of 55 the last feedback he is likely to ever get from trying to do the able-minded productive life will be this A4 sized list of neurotypical expectations and how he failed them.

#RejectionSensitivity (#RSD) takes many forms for me, and can often be a clearly irrational response 😔

It has hit me hard a few times during #Autscape2022 because of

– having a flaky Zoom connection
– not being there in person
– not relating to something
– other people arguing

Having thought a bit about #RejectionSensitivity, #SituationalMutism and #SocialAnxiety tonight, I’m even more irritated at all the times in my life I’ve been labelled ‘shy’ (among other things)

That’s really not the right word at all! 😣
