I don't think the C-suite understands #ML/#LLM/"AI" well enough to even guess at whether what they have is #reliable, #dangerous, or outright #murderous. They just know "Company X announced they've rolled out #AI, and their #stock jumped 17%", and they want in on that #action.

11/34 Cheap / "traditional" ceiling fans also use an electric motor design known as a "shaded pole" motor. These are used because they're cheap to make, and simple (and therefore cheap) to speed-control, by just placing a capacitor of varying size in the circuit.

They also tend to be #reliable, because of their #simplicity.
