Update: I may be changing from “my pet peeve“ to “hill upon which I will willingly sustain serious injury“ the concept of “sacrifice” being distributed to others, not oneself. It seems to me that the concept of “sacrifice“ there’s only a valid concept when you are offering it yourself, as a burden that lands only on yourself. Is there really any such thing as “sacrificing“ others? Or do we need to use a different word for that? #Religidon

I don't think I can take too much credit for chairing panels in my "We've heard enough from old, white men" t-shirt, but I would like to think that I have played my small part, and I'm almost sorry I'm not going to be there to demonstrate the full extent of my respect for this new dress code.
