Both #leave & #remain consistently underestimate the complexity of the fracture that #brexit has caused between the #UK and our own continent. If we do ever #rejoinEU it will be many many years in the future.

More fruitful for an incoming sane govt to work out ways to improve cooperation whilst remaining outside - at least some such measures stand a chance of implementation within a single parliament

As 2015 Labour voters voted 65/35 pro #Remain he was actually more pro-remain than the average for #Labour voters

Jo Swinson refused to enter a coalition on Corbyn's promise of a 2nd ref. as she thought as PM she could cancel Article 50 and stop #Brexit altogether.

Her 5 months was the shortest tenure of a #LibDem leader and only LD leader to lose her seat in a GE.

The solution is the same applied to the island of Ireland 100 years ago: regions predominantly wanting to #Remain united do so, regions that want to #Leave do so.

If that seems undesirable then architect a better Advisory #Referendum in 2016 - and having done so, pay more attention, more intelligently to the advice.

This is a small, first draft. (The final SVG will be massive with much higher resolution).

The border around the circle of stars in the centre is a shade midway between that of the Cross of St. David and the European Stars.

The intention of the flag is to indicate standing foursquare behind Wales and the European Union. And behind the idea of the EU being an integral part of and *in* Wales.

Depends how you define "credible" - if as I suspect #Stamer does it means focussed on winning the next #GE then #Labour looks pretty credible

To be clear I voted #Remain
& went on several "B**cks to Brexit" protest marches - at one of which #Starmer spoke clearly of his opposition to the project before it was im[plemented. But I'm an engineer not an ideallist - I accept for pragmatic reasons fighting to #rejoin or even for #FoM is not the best way at present

Dep[ends who you mean by "the establishment" - the #Quitters cheated in several ways including spending, but the Establishment was more on the other side, the #Remain side.

Quitters were a coalition of hard Right, plus #disasterCapitalists leading nativist gullibles by the nose largely by telling them what they want to hear.....but they did not comprise the establishment.

Oh well, so much for that.

Most of the grifters in UK politics thought it was safe to improve their personal brand by screwing around on a vote that #Remain would win. Winning has damaged their careers longterm, it's so much easier to shout for change than do it, particularly when the 'change' is utterly impossible to achieve. I’m rooted in the centre closer to #centreleft of the political spectrum. I’m a #libdem but tend to vote #labour where I live to #GTTO.
