Bilkis Bano case: Supreme Court raps Gujarat govt over ‘selective’ remission to accused

The Supreme Court of India told the Gujarat government that a state should not be ‘selective’ in granting remission to their prisoners. This was said in relation to the eleven accused of gangraping Bilkis Bano during the 2002 Gujarat Riots.

This is what #remission looks like when treating a #pituitary #tumor.

I'll never know exactly when or why it started taking over that part of my #endocrine system but it's nice to know that I can ask for the right #medication when #kaiserpermanente #doctors don't know what to do or want to "see if it will get bigger". No thanks. I'd prefer a 13.6x reduction to the middle of reference range for this hormone.

Now, maybe they'll stop asking stupid questions when I ask for "uncommon labs". 🤦🏼‍♀️🤯

2/ now… i don’t have the #health to handle my #parents… both… two… at one time… with #dementia and comorbidities. unless i’m well, i can’t take care of my parents constant and demanding needs. i can’t do my typical 16-hour care day for them. so, my #wife, who works to financially support all of us, and who is in #remission from #leukemia, will be my stand-in.

we’re fortunate that her job offers “#caregiver days.” though, there are only 5, and, she has a couple left through december.

Ten years ago, I went through surgery and nine weeks of chemotherapy for testicular cancer. It was one of the most difficult and surreal moments of my life.

While one side effect like tinnitus will never go away, I can happily say that I've now been cancer free for ten years. I had my very last oncology appointment a month ago, and everything came back clean. 🎉🎉🎉
