the #RemotePlay service sometimes crashes on my #PS5 and this beta firmware prolly isn't going to make it better :joy: but who knows! i'll be able to use the Sony RemotePlay app for #Windows after i install Windows on the #steamdeck probably Saturday afternoon? ugh all my µSD cards of games are ext2 probably lololol #filesystem drama is coming soon!

i don't expect sony's headphones will get Atmos added in a software update, i don't even know if that's possible but if they start shipping a new one when #PlayStationPortal is released we'll get some hints.

p.s. #RemotePlay on my #PS5 is awesome. especially in the same house when I'm in #IOW — Chiaki on #steamDeck is great, I also use the #PlayStation app for iOS with a #backbone controller.

i stream from #IOW when i'm at the #PHL house too but you can't play competitively. it works but nahhh

If you buy a #SteamDeck make sure you already have a #computer.

If not, you can buy a dock for it and then a #keyboard so you can type quickly.

Though if you have a computer already you can use #RemotePlay / #SteamRemotePlay to connect to it by going to your Steam Deck in #DesktopMode and then adding #Dolphin #KdeDolphin as a #NonSteamGame.

Start streaming from your computer and its essentially #RemoteDesktop.

Some apps and windows will display weirdly though...talking from #MyOwnExperience!

Regarding my #SteamDeck I realized I don't need to be in #GameMode to use #RemotePlay.

It's enough to be in #DesktopMode and it still works fine!

They really did fix #SteamRemotePlay!

Before it was super slow but with the new updates...now it starts instantly like #magic!

We need a setting for #RemotePlay where we can choose "don't quit game if I close steam down".

#Rockstar may have added the don't quit thing as a safety precaution even though...

Though #SteamRemotePlay is still #halfbroken.

When you close #Steam down while it is in #RemotePlay it attempts to close the game down.

It won't work on #GTAOnline though as the game will ask the player "#DoYouReallyWannaQuit?"

okay i am traveling this weekend and i really need a solution to the "#PlayStation5 #remotePlay has crashed, please restart your PS5" shit i've been plagued by for the last month.

it happens in #chiaki on my #steamDeck and it happens in the Sony Remote Play app for iOS with my special edition PlayStation themed #backbone controller. #gaming

i often point out that most of my game time on my #SteamDeck is running #Chiaki to #RemotePlay to my #PS5 (from my bed in IOW or PHL) and i love the 'deck there is no remorse but!

i am still enjoying #Forspoken on #PS5 (often via #remotePlay using #Chiaki on my #steamDeck) and i have played with the various quality modes and i haven't had any crashes or buggy behavior and i don't know why the #reviews of the game are so hard on it. i think the average review out of 10 was like 6.5 for some reason??
