@supergrrl7 #ReparationalGenealogy is the term I coined back in 2014 or 2015. I explain it on my website, https://ancestorsalivegenealogy.com/the-reparational-genealogy-project/ . It's a subset of Social Justice Genealogy, I think.

I have plenty of enslavers, too. I mark them as such in my tree, husband & wife both. It's my way of calling them out & helping others find their enslaved ancestors' migrations.

I’ve counted _a_lot_ of slaveholders on my paternal grandfather’s branch of my family.

The only original part of #ReparationalGenealogy is the idea that White US researchers should do pro bono work for those descended of the enslaved & free people of color. Even those whose ancestors didn't enslave owe a debt for an economy built on enslaved labor. It's back wages in human form. So, I ask White people to reach in deep & be mensches. #Geneadons
