@labarba Binder does a great service, but I think we need autonomy, too.

Often, mybinder.org is used as a means to ensure #Jupyter Notebooks run in the right environment—a prerequisite for reproducible computations.

But this can also be achieved locally on one’s computer, with clear provenance tracking, rather than relying on third-party infrastructure:
