The National Electronic Media Council of #Latvia has decided to #revoke the #broadcasting #license of the #Russian independent #TV channel #Dozhd.

The decision will come into force on the night of Thursday, December 8, when Dozhd is to stop broadcasting in Latvia. In addition, the National Council will ask to geo-block the channel on Youtube so that the content is not available in the country.

The Board's decision can be appealed.
