OMG. I was invited to the #RaspberryPi factory. I handed over a Revolution Pi to the Sony team. Our #RevolutionPi and the Sony AITRIOS AI Cam will now do quality assurance in the Raspberry Pi production line. We are sooo happy. And the Sony team in Pencoed is a blast. Of course we also visited the Foundation in Cambridge. I so love to work with Raspberries. The trip to UK was absolutely unforgettable. The best thing: I was allowed to drive a car in the wrong side of the street for two days!

In reality this set will gather data from an AI camera inspection system. The light will signal red or green for bad/good parts. Data will be sent to cumulocity cloud. If I could tell you in what factory this will be installed! But I will tell you eventually.

#OpenSource ist übrigens auf dem Vormarsch in der Industrie. #RevolutionPi, natürlich #Linux, #Kafka, #HiveMQ, #ansible sind in der Industrie allgegenwärtig. OpenSource ist gern gesehen. Und das Wissen und Können wächst. Auch bei Konzernen. Und sogar offene Standards sind ein must have geworden. Es tut sich richtig was.

Moin. #OpenSource erobert die Industrie und ich bin krank zuhause. Diese 80 Jahre alte Miele Waschmaschine von 1940 habe mit unserer OpenSource Industriesteuerung #RevolutionPi (Raspberry Pi Compute Modul Inside) nachgerüstet und in die Cloud gehängt. Der 80 Jahre alte Elektromotor mit Riemenantrieb duftet im Betrieb herrlich nach alter Werkstatt und surrt traumhaft leise. Schade dass ich mit Erkältung hier bleiben muss. Wär gern in Nürnberg auf der #SPS2022.
