Predatory #mite in the family #Rhagidiidae. It was tiny but unbelievably fast. Jillian Cowles, in her book, Amazing Arachnids, describes them nicely as the "jaguars of the mite world". Some species in the family apparently use webs to catch prey. #arthropod #Prostigmata #mites #arachnid
