Book no. 4: The Man Who Died Twice, by Richard Osman.

The Thursday Murder Club are at it again! Elizabeth and her septuagenarian friends have another murder to solve, and again they manage to fool people into thinking they are just a doddery bunch of pensioners, so they can get on with figuring things out. Very funny, will look out for the third book in this series too!

Das Buch is absolut köstlich geschrieben und angeblichh soll die deutsche Übersetzung auch sehr gut sein. Ich empfehle aber dringen, falls möglich, das englische Original zu lesen.

Wem das erste Buch gefällt... der Nachfolger ist noch besser ("The Man Who Died Twice") und aus gut informeirter Quelle habe ich vernommen, dass er sich im dritten Buch ("The Bullet That Missed") nochmals gesteigert hat.

Richard Osman hat mit "The Thursday Murder Club" ("Der Donnerstagsmordclub") eine wunderbare Krimi-Geschichte veröffentlicht.
Der Thursday Murder Club spielt in einer luxuriösen Seniorenwohnanlage, in der die vier Bewohner Joyce, Elizabeth, Ron und Ibrahim zusammenkommen, um Kriminalfälle zu untersuchen, darunter auch einen aktuellen Mord.

Ich weiss nicht, ob diese Buchreihe hier schon mal vorgestellt wurde.

Die Möglichkeit, dass meine englischsprachigen Follower sie kennen, ist ziemlich gross, aber im deutschsprachigen Raum ist der Autor bzw. die Buchreihe evtl. noch nicht so bekannt.

Es handelt sich hier um den Autor Richard Osman (ja, dieser Richard Osman, bekannt aus britischem Funk und Fernsehen für House of Games, Pointless u.v.m.).
