Back in #fantasy #HolyRomanEmpire: Started #RichardSwan's second #EmpireiftheWolf book #TyrannyofFaith (de: #ImNetzdesDämons) and I like it a lot!
In my eyes, there is a focus on power, abuse of power, self-righteousness and corruption. Presenting the story from the perspective of an assistant is quite clever and interesting. Similarities to #GW's #OldWorld remain in view of the same root, but they decrease in my opinion. In any case, the corresponding silliness is missing.

Tonight, I finished #RichardSwan‘s #TheJusticeofKings (de: ImNamendesWolfes).
The fantasy conspiracy thriller unexpectedly snuck in among my genre favorites of recent years. In my opinion a very smart book about self-righteousness and (religious) fanaticism coupled with an interesting perspective. I also like that the world is very reminiscent of the (Holy) Roman Empire.

Ich bin kürzlich wieder in eine Lese-Phase hineingeraten, und lese gerade dieses Buch von Richard Swan. Eine Art Fantasy Krimi, und bis jetzt (bin auf Seite 45) sehr spannend.

Auf Deutsch heißt das Buch „Im Namen des Wolfes“ und erscheint am 23.02.2023.
